Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 19th February 2026 | immersedancestudio@gmail.com
These Terms & Conditions apply to all students and parents/guardians booking or attending classes with Immerse Dance Studio (“Immerse”, “we”, “us”).
1) Bookings are required
- Bookings must be made in advance via our booking system to attend a class.
- Places are limited for safety and quality.
2) Casual classes, packages, and future term enrolments
- We offer casual classes and class packages.
- From mid-year, we may offer a mix of casual and term-based enrolments for students who want to participate in showcases/performances.
3) Fees & payments
- Fees are shown at checkout.
- Payments must be made at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed.
- We may update pricing with reasonable notice.
4) Class duration & punctuality
- Classes run for 45 minutes (unless stated otherwise).
- Please arrive a few minutes early to help your child settle in.
5) Drop-off, pick-up, and late collection fees
- Parents/guardians must remain contactable during class.
- Pick-up must occur before class ends.
- Late pick-ups disrupt staff duties and venue requirements, so a late fee applies: $5 per 5 minutes after class end time. If late pick-ups become ongoing, we may suspend future bookings until a plan is agreed.
6) Parent viewing policy (privacy + learning environment)
To protect children's privacy and to minimise distraction and performance pressure:
- Parents/guardians are not permitted to watch classes unless expressly invited (e.g., an open class day, trial orientation, or special circumstance approved by Immerse).
- We will provide class recap videos where possible and hold performances/showcases that parents can attend.
7) Behaviour, safety, and participation
We are a positive and inclusive studio. Students must:
- Follow instructions and behave respectfully
- Treat others kindly (no bullying, exclusion, or disruptive behaviour)
- Respect the venue and equipment
If behaviour creates a safety risk or repeatedly disrupts the class:
- We may contact the parent/guardian to intervene.
- If needed, we may pause participation for that session.
Because classes are drop-off (and parents aren't watching):
- The child may be moved to a supervised “cool down” spot within the hall, and
- The parent/guardian is called to collect them if behaviour cannot be safely managed.
8) Health, injuries, and medical info
Dance involves physical activity and risk of injury. By booking, you confirm:
- Your child is fit to participate (or you've disclosed relevant conditions)
- You've provided important medical/allergy information
- You understand we may provide basic first aid, and contact you/emergency services if required
9) Acknowledgement of risk & liability
You acknowledge that dance and physical activity carry inherent risks (including sprains, strains, falls, or more serious injury). You agree to follow safety instructions and accept responsibility for your child's participation. Nothing in these Terms excludes consumer guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian law.
10) Photography & videography (marketing + parent updates)
Default consent:
By booking your child into a class at Immerse Dance Studio, you consent to photography/videography of your child in class, rehearsals, and events. Media may be used for:
- Social media content and paid ads
- Website content
- Printed promotional material
- Parent recap videos
Opt-out process:
If you wish to opt out, you must provide written notice to immersedancestudio@gmail.com before attendance. If you opt out, your child may be asked to step aside during filming/photography moments, which may impact their experience and learning. We will aim to keep this minimal where practical.
11) Cancellations, rescheduling, and missed classes
- If you cannot attend, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance.
- If you cancel late or do not attend, the class may be forfeited (unless we decide otherwise in exceptional circumstances).
- If we cancel a class (e.g., illness, venue closure), you will receive a credit or reschedule option.
12) Refunds
- Refunds are generally not provided for change of mind.
- Where required under Australian Consumer Law, remedies will be provided.
13) Illness and contagious conditions
Please do not attend if your child is unwell, contagious, or has symptoms that could spread to others. This protects the community and keeps classes running consistently.
14) Child protection & privacy expectations
- Do not photograph or film other children at the venue unless you have explicit permission from their parent/guardian and Immerse Dance Studio.
- We ask families to respect privacy and avoid discussing other children publicly online.
15) Intellectual property
Choreography, class materials, videos, and branding remain the intellectual property of Immerse Dance Studio. Sharing class videos publicly or reposting paid content without permission is not permitted.
16) Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The version on our website applies from the “Last updated” date.
